Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship: The Government of Ireland is proud to announce the commencement of the 2024 Call for Applications for their fully funded scholarship program. Open to international students from all corners of the world, this initiative aims to make studying in Ireland a dream come true.

The Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Science has established a scholarship program that is managed by the Council. The program aims to provide comprehensive support to research master’s and doctoral candidates, regardless of whether they are currently engaged in research or preparing to embark on a full-time research endeavor in their chosen academic field.

Eligibility Criteria

1. To qualify, you must be a foreign student seeking admission to study in Ireland.
2. Maintain an affiliation with an eligible Irish higher education institution or research-performing organization.
3. Applicants must not have had two unsuccessful attempts for the program, regardless of changes to the host institution or research topic.
4. Applicants can submit their applications in either Irish or English.

Award Benefits

The 2024 Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship offers up to €28,000 per annum to support your educational journey, with the award consisting of the following various components.

• A stipend of €19,000 per annum.
• A contribution that covers non-EU fees and can be as much as €5,750 per annum.
• You are also eligible to receive direct research expenses of up to €3,250 per year.
